BernCo Probate Court Remains Open for Business

Bernalillo County Probate Judge Cristy J. Carbón-Gaul reminds residents that the Probate Court remains open, and filings can still be made remotely.

During scaled-back operations, the Probate Court is hosting all required forms online at www.bernco.gov/probate-court/about-the-forms.aspx. Residents can also call the court and receive a forms package through the mail.

Forms can then be filed by mail or email, but original copies must also be mailed. Fees can be paid by check, money order or credit card.

“Once fewer COVID-19 restrictions are in place, the court will open slowly, by appointment only,” says Probate Judge Carbón-Gaul, “but residents should not wait to file in anticipation of the court reopening as normal.”
