Historical Minutes Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the minutes of all County Boards and Commissions meetings and hearings. All such minutes dating back to 1888 have been digitized in a searchable format and are available for public use. Such uses may include academic research on any event, election, or decision that came before the county commission or a board thereof.

Historical Ordinances Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the full text of original Ordinances as they were presented to the Board of County Commissioners at the time of their adoption.

The Historical Ordinance Archive dates back to 1961 and is a historical record of ordinances passed for a multitude of purposes from meat inspection (1961), establishment of a 40 hour work week (1963) to adopting a code of campaign standards for candidates for county office (1974).

This archive is presented for historical purposes only. Please refer to the Bernalillo County Code for current law.

Historical Resolutions Archive

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s office is responsible for maintaining a digital archive of the full text of all resolutions enacted by the Board of County Commissioners. Today we consider a resolution to be a formal expression of opinion or intention. However in earlier years Resolutions included allocation of monies and establishment of rules and policy.

The Historical Resolutions Archive dates back to 1955 and provides access to the full text of each Resolution at the time it was enacted.

This archive is presented for historical purposes only. Please refer to the Bernalillo County Code for current law.

The Bernalillo County Clerk’s Office Bureau of Elections conducts Third Party Registration Agent Training for individuals or groups wishing to register potential voters or assist a voter in changes to their voter registration record. Third Party Agents are individuals who solicit and provide assistance to another person in the completion of a Voter Registration Form. Third Party Agents help fulfill an important role as partners in our outreach effort. Class is limited to the first 50 RSVPs. Please secure your spot by emailing clerk@bernco.gov or calling (505) 468-1291, Option 6. The trainer reserves the right to refuse entry once class size maximum is reached.
