On Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018, the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) will hold a job fair, with nearly two dozen other public safety, law enforcement and military agencies.

The event will be held at the Paradise Hills Community Center, where applicants can speak with recruiters from a variety of agencies, including the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department and Bernalillo County Fire Department, the Albuquerque Police Department, Rio Rancho Police, military organizations and more.

Metropolitan Detention Center recruiters will hold on-site interviews. The Metropolitan Detention Center is looking for dedicated individuals, who have a passion for protecting and serving their community. An ideal corrections officer is someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to problem-solve in evolving situations and is someone who has compassion, empathy and respect for themselves, co-workers and inmates.

Interested applicants should dress for success and bring their resumes.
