Bernalillo County Treasurer Re-Elected Chair of the New Mexico Counties Treasurer’s Affiliate

Bernalillo County – Bernalillo County Treasurer Nancy Bearce was re-elected chair of the New Mexico Counties (NMC) Treasurer’s Affiliate on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2020 at the affiliate’s annual meeting.

Bearce’s second term begins July 1 and runs through 2022. Treasurer Bearce was first elected as chair to the treasurer’s affiliate in 2018.

Bearce ran unopposed.

“I am very grateful for the ongoing trust given to me by my fellow treasurers as we continue to work hard for New Mexico taxpayers,” says Treasurer Bearce.

Other treasurer’s affiliate leaders are:

  • Eric Rodriguez of Dona Ana County, Vice Chair
  • Laura Whiteside of Otero County, Secretary
  • Tracy Sedillo of Torrance County, Treasurer

Additionally, Bernalillo County staff was presented the audit and accountability award from New Mexico State Auditor Brian Colon. BernCo also received a Worker’s Compensation award of $7,000.00.
