National Senior Citizens Day 2018

On Aug. 19, 1988, President Ronald Reagan issued Proclamation 5847 creating National Senior Citizens Day to held annually on August 21. This day is observed to recognize and honor the achievements of older people in our nation and to raise awareness of social, health and economic issues which affect seniors. Teeniors Tech Camp

On Aug. 9, 2018, the Office of Senior and Social Services hosted a Tech Camp at the Paradise Hills Senior Center. At this event Teeniors were paired with seniors to help with tech questions. The Teeniors helped seniors navigate their tablets, smart phones, and computers. Some seniors wanted help taking photos and sending them to loved ones, others with email, or just understanding their devices. It was a great event and very well received! Please check out some photos from the event below.
