Office of the County Assessor Mails Out Business Personal Property, Manufactured Home and Livestock Reporting Forms

12/19/2019

The 2019 business personal property, livestock, and manufactured home reporting forms have been sent to business, livestock, and manufactured home owners from the Office of the Assessor for Bernalillo County.

The deadline to submit the completed forms to the Assessor’s Office is Feb. 28, 2020.

Each year, business personal property, livestock, and manufactured home owners must complete a report regarding their property, such as equipment used for businesses, current mobile home information or individual livestock located within the boundaries of the county and submit it to the Assessor’s Office. It is important for property owners to submit their reports on time to avoid monetary penalties and a possible audit. For the business community, filing business personal property reports can be done online using the e-file system located on the assessor’s Business Personal Property webpage.

Other reporting forms are available on the Assessor’s webpage and can be emailed or mailed in:

“As your Assessor my commitment has always been to make the Office of the Assessor as user friendly as possible when it comes to filing the necessary property documents and business reports to the Assessor’s Office,” says , Bernalillo County Assessor Tanya R. Giddings. “Proper reporting by property owners of these items leads to accurate valuation of properties for tax purposes while creating a fair and equitable assessment across the county.”

For tax year 2019 a total of 33,092 reports were sent out with a total appraised value of $1.6 billion.

The deadline to submit the completed forms to the Assessor’s Office is Feb. 28, 2020.
